Geraldine (Bean) and Charles Carroll IV MD have had extensive experience in setting up and managing small and large Orthopedic Surgery and Rehabilitation practices. Both team members were part of the design and management team for the Northwestern Orthopedic Institute in Chicago, Illinois. In 2007 and 2008, they worked on operations management, process improvement and opening a 15 person Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Medicine practice on the Northwestern University Campus in Chicago, Illinois. Bean was involved in the management of the personnel and, buildout and technology coordination with other members of the management team. Charlie Carroll was involved in the design, buildout and management of the practice in the early phases and was one of the two leaders on the Executive Committee during the initial two years.

Dr. Carroll also acquired executive education in Finance, Operations Management and Technology at the Kellogg Scholl of Busines at Northwestern Univesity. This had teamed with is experience to allow for practice process improvement and efficiencies. That was reflected in loyalty and patient satisfaction scores on his practice. He has also received On time Awards from Vitals as recently as 2018. He has also studied his own patient satisfaction and engagement. He partnered with students and faculty at the McCormick School of Enginerring at Northwestern University to study process improvement in outpatient surgery at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

The two of them have teamed up to start this new solo practice in Middleburg, Virginia using the skills and experience that they have acquired over the past 10 years. We have combined, operations, radiology, rehabilitation and surgical care into an entity that will stress quality and transparency in a small and personalized setting in a rural setting in Northern Virginia.
